Dress as you would for walking around town and bring a lightweight jacket/sweatshirt or windbreaker with you. Soft-soled shoes are required (no high heels). Also useful is a baseball-type cap with a visor, sunglasses (polarized are best), and sunscreen. Don’t forget your camera. If you’re “on the fence” about shorts versus long pants… go with the long pants.

Yes, you may bring snacks with whatever beverage you like, though please note that we provide soft drinks and light snacks. We have ice, bottle openers, and cups on board.

You may cancel your reservation without charge up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure. If you cancel within the last 24 hours or fail to show up at boarding, you will be responsible for the full amount of the charter/cruise. Weather-related cancelations will be determined by the captain. If your charter/cruise is canceled due to weather and we are unable to reschedule the trip to your satisfaction, you will not be charged.

Our Harbor Island location at Sunroad Resort Marina is within a 5-minute walk to three waterside restaurants; C-Level (bistro), Island Prime (steaks and seafood), and Coasterra (modern Mexican). Tom Ham’s Lighthouse seafood restaurant is at the other end of Harbor Island, perfect for those who enjoy long walks by the water (1 mile, 20 mins on foot). The Boathouse Restaurant (surf n’ turf) at Harbor Island West Marina is a bit closer and has marina-side views.

If you don’t have a car, it is only about 2 miles from downtown. It’s not a very expensive taxi/Lyft/Uber ride to us (955 Harbor Island Drive, San Diego, 92101).

Yes, there is a bathroom on board.

The boat is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every use in line with the Covid-19 recommendations given by the local health authority. Any further queries regarding our policy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

It is normal to see sea lions, pelicans, cormorants, and occasionally even pods of dolphins. (Whales have a specific migration period from December to April and longer trips out to the open water are required for sightings. See our whale watching page for availability).

Daily harbor trips provide a smooth sailing experience, but you know yourself best. For open-water trips, those sensitive to motion should take precautions. Please note that any medication must be taken two hours BEFORE boarding the vessel.
